KITAS Sponsored by Indonesian Entities



KITAS sponsored by Indonesian entities, also referred to as a working permit KITAS, is a permit that let you work or hold a paid position in Indonesia. If you got an offer to work in Indonesia, first of all, you need to ensure that your sponsor in a registered entity in Indonesia.The sponsor has to propose a job title for you because it is regulated so by the Ministry of Manpower of Indonesia. Later your job title also will decide how long your permitted stay will be; usually directors and commissioners will get a one-year KITASwhich is extendable,and advisor level of employee can only obtain a six-month one.

How to Obtain a Working KITAS in Indonesia?
·         First step: Foreign Manpower Employment Plan Approval (RPTKA)
RPTKA is a document allotted by the Indonesia Ministry of Manpower. It states that the country approves your employer proposal to hire foreign employee.

Second step: Development Fund (DKP-TKA)
Once your company got the approval from the ministry, you are going to be informed about your permitted stay duration in Indonesia. The entity needs to pay the development fund every month to the Ministry of Manpower, and the amount is different based on how long the permit is.

Third Step: Acquiring the Working Permit (IMTA)
After the development fund being paid, you will be granted a working permit or IMTA. This IMTA will become the source for the VITAS (limited stay permit).

Fourth Step: Entering Indonesia and Change your VITAS into Limited Stay Permit Card (KITAS)
You can enter Indonesia after earning your VITAS. Later you will need to convert it to KITAS at the Indonesian Immigration. KITAS will work as your ID when you are staying in Indonesia.


·         Fifth step: Other Documents

After you are successfully obtaining the KITAS, you will need to take care of other documents like a family card or a temporary residential card.
